i started sewing in 2016 when i was given a sewing kit for my 8th birthday, but didn't do it very often until 2022, when i learned how to use a sewing machine at summer camp. at that time, my mom gave me her sewing machine, because she could never figure out how to use it and figured i'd make more use out of it than she would. i do both hand and machine sewing, but hand sew more often, because it is easier to be more precise with it.
i picked up crocheting in late 2023 if i remember correctly, but i prefer using a needle and thread. i rarely finish my crochet projects XD
i currently plan on making & fixing clothes as a full-time job when i grow up, along with making jewelry. the repetition of sewing satisfies my autistic brain, and it's something i'm passionate about. unlike the other forms of art i'm involved with, i could definitely do this 4-8 hours a day.
